Job Description

A leading legal environment is seeking a Conflicts & Client Onboarding Specialist to support attorneys within their practice departments. This role is ideal for a highly polished legal professional who excels in practice support, client intake, and engagement management, and who brings strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth matter onboarding, effective coordination with internal teams, and delivery of high-quality client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the intake process for new matters by working with attorneys to understand engagement scope and requirements
  • Draft, review, and tailor engagement letters, including addressing Outside Counsel Guidelines when applicable
  • Identify direct and related parties to initiate conflict checks and draft appropriate engagement letter waivers
  • Coordinate with conflicts and client intake teams to ensure timely and accurate matter openings
  • Review conflict reports and assist attorneys in resolving potential or actual conflicts of interest
  • Maintain organized, compliant electronic files and ensure confidentiality standards are met
  • Build strong working relationships with attorneys and internal stakeholders to support ongoing client service
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support as needed, including coordination with information governance teams and document management systems


Qualifications & Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required
  • Minimum 7 years of legal practice support experience
  • Experience with electronic filings with state and county agencies and courts
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Intapp products preferred
  • Highly professional, discreet, and client-service oriented demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail in proofreading, editing, grammar, and formatting
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
